We offer a range of physical therapy services, including but not limited to physiotherapy, sports massage and other complimentary therapies. You can find out more about our treatments via the ‘Service’ tab in the ‘Book Now’ section of our website.

Our therapists are committed to quickly easing your pain and improving your activity. We'll determine the cause of your pain and create a personalised treatment plan suited to you. Additionally, we'll educate you about your injury and offer strategies to prevent re-injury and reduce pain. You can learn more by reading our blog in the ‘About Us’ section of our website.

Here at Function First we treat general joint problems such as neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, wrist and ankle pain, including those claiming through private health insurers. We’re able to support you with any post surgery rehabilitation or sporting injuries and have a strong belief in preventative treatments for athletes and non-athletes alike. 

Your first session at Function First will last about one hour for your initial assessment & treatment. Please come dressed in sporty attire (shorts and vest tops are preferable). Follow ups can range anywhere from 30 - 60mins depending on your individual needs and treatment plan.

No, you do not need a referral from your doctor to receive treatment at Function First. However, if you’re claiming therapy through a medical insurer, some plans may require a referral for coverage. We do recommend consulting your GP about any ongoing conditions where appropriate.

Our initial assessment and treatment runs for 1hr at  a session cost of £50. Follow up treatment costs range from £30 - £50 depending on the nature of and length of therapy input required. See our ‘Services‘ section under the ‘Book Now’ tab of our website for more information on pricing.

As HCPC registered therapists, Function First accepts therapy referrals from a range of private health insurers. Please seek guidance from your health insurance provider regarding a therapy referral. We provide appropriate invoicing for those wishing to claim through PAYG insurance schemes like (but not limited to) Westfield Health.

Function First requires 24 hours' notice if you wish to either cancel or reschedule an appointment. Any appointments cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice will not receive a refund but are eligible for rescheduling on one occasion per appointment cancellation.
